This is an in-game feature that I think would look neat. When you reach your next rank you get a pop-up notification during game play that you have ranked up, maybe with some background music?

Also another in-game feature that keeps a live record of xp until your next rank. Located on the bottom left of the screen.

Display your rank in-game, why? because everyone grinds for ranking so why not show it off during game.
