The only thing that could of redeemed it, is if they actually played sweet sweet victory from SpongeBob. I was looking forward to that. The NHL did it instead since the NFL hates their viewers lolSuperbowl commercials have been garbage for a few years now, IMO. Then again, after the glory of that PuppyMonkeyBaby commercial, everything else seems weak in comparison.
Hearing "Sweet Victory" at the Superbowl would've been incredible, but I had a sneaking suspicion this would happen. The NFL probably knew that no one gave a damn about Maroon 5, so they had to entice us somehow. It was a clever idea to generate hype and viewership, I'll give them that. Adam Levine also seems like a pompous ass, so I doubt he would've relinquished the spotlight. The only thing that could of redeemed it, is if they actually played sweet sweet victory from SpongeBob. Damn, the NFL already had it taken down, and I didn't get a chance to see it.I found this. The internet never disappoints.
you can't claim the Saints deserved to win when they allowed a dubious 4th down conversion by Johnny Hekker. Everyone and their brothers knows Johnny Hekker is a threat on 4th down, especially the Saints who had already seen a Hekker conversion attempt earlier in the season. Combined with other errors, the Saints did not "deserve" to win. If they had played a perfect game and that penalty was the deciding factor, then yes I would agree
