First time trying to paint clouds. Might make a few more of these I enjoyed it; but more so blocking it the big shapes and values. I could spend more time rendering this out but m e h.

Comments and constructive criticism welcome, as always :)

I dont get a cloud feeling. I kinda thought if there was a bomb explosion in the snow it would look like this
Hm, yeah I kind of see this. I think it's due to a lot of the hard edges in the clouds themselves. It's causing it to look less fluffy and more cream like (or snow like).

Thanks for the critique :)

This kinda reminds me of the storm cloud that surrounds Laputa in Castle in the Sky

so poofy so satisfying
:D

increase pixel size, decrease color palette, and add to PG as background please! xD
Lmao, when I find a better, more cloudier feel, perhaps PAWN is getting a cloud tileset

Don't @ me but, I thought of rice balls.

They say a clouds best friend is the Sky.
Did someone say, :rice_ball: ???

I dont think its the hard edges, just can’t make out whats going on at the bottom of the picture. if the cloud was in the center of a blue backdrop it would be more evident. Was this painted? Or generated using a computer?

Looks solid. If you are brave, try experimenting by adding a small tint of purple into the shadows (just in the bottom corner when the sun doesn't hit as strong) to make them stand out more. A full analogous palette always looks amazing.

If by computer generated you mean painted on a computer, yes. This was digitally painted by yours truly.

Seemingly you've read my mind as I'm actually working on a new one at the moment and am using purples xD
