Open afk idle/available

just crossed my mind while playing xbl (lol). Implementing an afk status will ensure the user in seeing pm chat log/chat log
Seems notable to an extent imo...

How is an afk status related to retaining a chat log?

Primitive question no doubt.
Reiteration entails toggling idle status on or off. Idled- in which negates the user prominently from chatting but enables a visual transpired chat log, as per toggle option.

Contrary from the idle option, once switching to active status, the chat depletes completely and the default chat property sets.

edit: actually unaware if the chat log resets like it used to.. rendering suggestion lol
