Working as Intended Suggestion: immediate alert notifications

Is it possible to have the alerts for notification pop up without refreshing? Or is that just a site thing that has to be lived with?

For me, it doesn't always happen immediately.

But it does show up as (1) or however many numbers on the tab

is there a limit to when it happens? Cause for this one i had it on the home page, refreshed, and i can see that your post was done a minute ago

I haven't really noticed a pattern or anything. Sometimes it happens a bit later, sometimes pretty close to the post. It tends to vary

i always have to refresh. normally i just click the banner but it is kinda annoying ngl

Just to add to this - once emails are fully functioning, it will be possible to have immediate email alerts. For me, I have my email linked to my phone so if I do get a notification, it notifies my phone immediately.
