For some categories, for example PT Discussion, have three threads appear on the main forum page. Instead of having one thread with the most recent post.

Nope, per every category, only one thread, with the most recent post.

I'll illustrate the idea later

Nah the most recent one is fine. Standard on all forums. Some don’t even have 1.

They know if they haven’t read evrrything in that section because the forum icon will light up if there is unread content

Just recently I start using the "unread content". I've been use to looking at discussions through the main forum page. Don't know if its the same for everyone else though.

My illustration is something like this:

It looks ugly, but something like this

it would make the board waaay to long. it would be an endless scroll.

like i said, the icon lights up if you haven't read things.

You can also use this bar:

That's fine, but I barely see the difference. I doubt it'll be apparent for the new users tho.

You see no difference in this?

Look at the color of the icons. The first one contains unread content.

PT Style has it too

I've notice those differences, but I never knew it was meant for unread content. Interesting.

Still idk if any new user will notice that, either.

No im saying, not only is it not possible to do, but it would stretch the forum and make it way too long.

No forum does what you're suggesting. Its either the most recent or nothing

Ight lock this thread, can't happen folks.
